Fisch is a fishing game on Roblox made by Fisching. You start on Moosewood Island with a basic rod. You catch fish, sell them and slowly work your way up to better gear and new places. This guide covers your first steps, the controls, how to earn C$ faster and the easy mistakes most new players make.
What is Fisch?
Fisch is a fishing simulation game. Up to 20 players can share a server. The official description says every fish can have more than 400,000 possible variations, so there is always something new to catch.
You begin on Moosewood, the starting island. From there the world opens up to lots of other areas, like Roslit, Snowcap Island, Mushgrove Swamp and the Ocean. Each area has its own fish to find.
Fish come in rarity tiers. From lowest to highest they are:
- Trash
- Common
- Uncommon
- Unusual
- Rare
- Legendary
- Mythical
- Exotic
How the core loop works
The basic loop in Fisch is simple:
- Equip your rod. You start with the Flimsy Rod in hotbar slot 1.
- Go to a fishing spot. Look for the green FISH HERE marker near the water.
- Cast and catch. Hold to cast, wait for a bite, then win the reeling minigame.
- Sell your fish to a merchant. C$ is the main currency.
- Spend C$ on better rods and gear, then explore new places.
Along the way you gain XP and levels, fill in your Bestiary and finish quests.
How fishing works
The game explains fishing like this:
- Click and hold to cast your bobber into the water.
- Wait for a bite. You can "shake" your rod to draw fish in faster.
- When a fish bites, hold down or click to move the white bar.
- Follow the blue line as closely as you can. You can slip up a few times and still be fine.
A single click won't cast properly. You need to hold the mouse button down while you aim at the water.
Your first session, step by step
- On the title screen, press Space to continue.
- If the Daily Reward popup appears, click claim. Day 1 gives 500C$. It won't show up every time you join.
- If the Changelogs or tutorial panel pops up and you want to skip it, click Are you sure? The Dismiss button may not work.
- Click the Flimsy Rod slot on your hotbar to equip it. Pressing 1 may not work, so click the slot.
- Walk forward from spawn to the green FISH HERE marker by the water.
- Face the water, then click and hold to cast.
- Wait for a bite, then follow the blue line in the minigame.
- Keep catching until you have a few fish, then find the Merchant near the spawn dock to sell them.
- Open Menu > Codes to type in any codes and claim the group reward chest (you need to like and join the group).

Don't spend your first session just clicking through menus. Get to the water as soon as you can.
Controls
These are the main controls on PC:
- Space: continue from the title screen
- Click and hold left mouse: cast your bobber
- Hold or click: move the white bar while reeling
- Click hotbar slot 1: equip the Flimsy Rod
- G: open the Equipment Bag
- E: near spawn this opens a Shop Purchase popup (see below)
Your hotbar has four slots: 1 Flimsy Rod, 2 Equipment Bag, 3 Bestiary, 4 Quest Book. The Shop, Menu and Book buttons on screen work as toggles. Click once to open and click again to close.

Useful menus to know
- Equipment Bag: holds your rods, plus tabs for Bobbers, Baits, Lanterns and Accessories. You start with 5 Worm and 5 Bagel baits.
- Bestiary: a fish list for each island. Fish you haven't caught show as ???. It also has a Rods tab (the Rod Journal).
- Quest Book: lists quests with their goals and rewards. Press Track to follow one.
- Menu: settings for Audio, Appearance, Gameplay, Notifications, Quick Access, Codes and Titles.

If bright effects bother you, check Photosensitive Mode in the Appearance tab.
How to earn C$ faster
C$ is the main currency. These tips help it build up quicker:
- Fish all the time. More catches means more to sell. Head straight to the water each time you join.
- Shake your rod while you wait, so fish bite faster.
- Use bait. Worm gives Lure Speed and Bagel gives Resilience. Both also give Preferred Luck.
- Claim the Daily Reward. Day 1 is 500C$, and later days give items like relics and potions.
- Redeem codes in Menu > Codes. Codes come from @Woozynate.
- Claim the group reward chest in the Codes tab.
- Do quests. The Angler NPC gives quests. Marlon gives the Friend Quest: Bait Crates, where you catch 10 Bait Crates with a friend for 1-2 Reward Spins.
- Watch for server events. Messages like a Great Hammerhead Shark spotted in the Ocean mean a special fish to hunt.

Set up auto-sell properly
Go to Menu > Gameplay > Auto-sell Preferences. You can pick which rarities get sold automatically when you visit a merchant.
By default, Trash, Common, Uncommon, Unusual and Rare are ticked. Crates, Legendary, Mythical and Exotic are not. That's a good setup for most beginners, because your rarest fish stay safe.

If there's a fish you want to keep, favourite it. Favourited items never auto-sell.
What to buy first
Your first big goal is a better rod. The Flimsy Rod has 0% Luck, 0% Lure Speed and a Max KG of 10.4kg.
- The Training Rod is sold on Moosewood.
- Basic Diving Gear costs 3,000 C$.
Check an item's stats before you buy. If you don't have enough C$, you'll see an "Insufficient funds." message.

The Shop button sells boosts, limited skins and bobbers, plus C$ packs and gamepasses for Robux. For example, Sell Anywhere costs 399 Robux and Double XP costs 239 Robux. You don't need any of these to enjoy the game or make progress.
Common beginner mistakes
- Pressing 1 to equip your rod. It may not work. Click the Flimsy Rod slot on the hotbar.
- Pressing E near spawn. It can open a Shop Purchase popup. If that happens, click Close.
- Single-clicking the water. You need to click and hold to cast.
- Clicking Dismiss on the tutorial panel. If it does nothing, click Are you sure? instead.
- Expecting the Daily Reward every time you join. Check that it's on screen before you click.
- Spending ages in menus. The menus are useful, but you make progress by fishing.
- Changing auto-sell without thinking. If you tick Legendary or higher, your best fish could get sold by accident.
