Infinite Tower Tycoon Clone Machine: What to Upgrade First

Checked in-game 4 Oct 2026 Updated 6 Oct 2026

Your clone is a fighter that farms kills for you while you build your tower. Every kill pays cash, so a stronger clone means more money. The catch is that each upgrade costs more than the one before. This guide covers each stat in Clone 1 settings, how fast the prices climb, and the order that gives you the most for your cash.

How to open Clone 1 settings

All clone upgrades are in one panel.

  1. Walk onto the cyan Clone machine pad at your tycoon.
  2. Use the Open settings prompt.
  3. The Clone 1 settings panel opens. Scroll down to see every row, including Headshots.
  4. When you're done, close it with the red X at the top right.

Clone mode and Target: leave the defaults

The top two rows set how your clone behaves:

  • Clone mode: Kill
  • Target: Closest

These are the defaults, and they're the best choice for earning cash. Your clone attacks whatever is nearest. Leave them as they are.

What each stat does and where it starts

Every stat starts low and costs cash to raise. These are the starting values and first prices:

Stat Starts at First cost
Clone HP 50 $100
Respawn time 40 $100
Headshots 0% $100
Accuracy 50% $100
Regen HP/s 0 $400
Walk speed 14 $400
  • Clone HP is how much health your clone has. More HP means it survives longer in fights.
  • Respawn time is how long your clone waits before it comes back after dying. Lower is better. While you wait, a "Respawn in Ns" countdown appears under the panel.
  • Headshots is your clone's headshot chance. It starts at 0%.
  • Accuracy is how often your clone's attacks hit. It starts at 50%, and each level adds about 1%.
  • Regen HP/s is how much health your clone gets back each second. It starts at 0, so your clone doesn't heal at all until you buy it.
  • Walk speed is how fast your clone moves.
  • Weapon upgrades your clone's weapon. It's the big upgrade: $35K, then $100K.

How upgrade costs go up

Each level costs more than the last, and the jumps get big quickly. Here are some real examples:

  • Clone HP: $100, then $200, then $800, then $1.6K. By then HP has only gone from 50 to about 65.
  • Accuracy: goes up by $100 a level at first. By 56% it costs $700, and by 63% it costs $3.5K.
  • Respawn time: costs $800 by the time it's down to 37.
  • Walk speed: costs $2.2K by the time it reaches 15.
  • Headshots: starts at $100, but later costs $3.5K, then $5K.

This means the first few levels of each stat are cheap and good value. After that, every level costs a lot more for the same small gain.

The button colour tells you what you can afford. Green means you have enough cash. Red means you don't, so don't click it.

Best upgrade order

Spread your cash across the cheap levels first, then save up for the Weapon.

  1. Buy the $100 rows: Clone HP, Respawn time and Headshots. Scroll down to find Headshots.
  2. Buy a few cheap levels of Accuracy while it's still a few hundred dollars.
  3. Buy Regen HP/s at $400 so your clone starts healing.
  4. Keep going on whichever row is cheapest right now. Moving between rows gives better value than pushing one stat high.
  5. Leave Walk speed until later. It starts at $400 and already costs $2.2K by the time it reaches 15.
  6. Once the cheap levels run out, save for the Weapon upgrade at $35K.

Don't spend it all. If you click fast, rising prices can empty your cash in seconds. Keep enough for tycoon pads like Tycoon lights ($3.25K) and Tower value ($2.75K), and for the Weapon. For ways to earn the money, see How to Get Cash Fast in Infinite Tower Tycoon.

Giant clone and Reset clone: watch where you click

At the bottom of the panel is a big green Giant clone button. It's a 50 Robux game pass. Your clone machine then spawns giant clones with better stats.

The red Reset clone button sits right below it. Take care around both. Don't click Reset clone by mistake, and don't hit the Robux button when you were aiming for something else.

To stop Robux buttons from going off too easily, open Settings (the gear at the bottom of the left sidebar). Then set Robux button mode to Prompt in the Visual section.

The Secondary clone

There's a second clone slot called the Secondary clone. You can unlock it two ways:

  • Buy it as a game pass for 450 Robux.
  • Get it free when you reach floor 600 (Level 600).

Don't buy the pass if you already have the 600th floor. The Secondary clone can collect crates while your first clone fights zombies. Its stats are upgraded separately, so it needs its own cash. To compare it with other passes, see Infinite Tower Tycoon Game Passes: Which Are Worth It?

Frequently asked questions

How do I upgrade my clone in Infinite Tower Tycoon?

Walk onto the cyan Clone machine pad and use the Open settings prompt. In Clone 1 settings, click the green Upgrade button next to the stat you want.

What clone upgrade should I buy first?

Start with the $100 rows: Clone HP, Respawn time and Headshots. Then buy Regen HP/s at $400 and a few cheap Accuracy levels. Save up for the $35K Weapon after that.

Why is my clone upgrade button red?

Red means you don't have enough cash for that upgrade. Don't click it. Earn more cash or upgrade a cheaper stat instead.

How much does the clone Weapon upgrade cost?

The first Weapon upgrade costs $35K, and the next one costs $100K.

What does Giant clone do?

Giant clone is a 50 Robux game pass. It makes your clone machine spawn giant clones with better stats. The Reset clone button is right below it, so click carefully.

Do I have to upgrade the Secondary clone separately?

Yes. The Secondary clone has its own stats, so it needs its own upgrades. You get it with the 450 Robux pass, or free when you reach Level 600.
