Eggs are how you get new pets in Ride A Pet, and new pets are how you earn more cash. This guide follows one egg from start to finish. You'll find it with a radar or pick it up off the ground, plant it on your ranch, hatch it, and put the new pet to work. It's short, and once you've done it once you'll do it without thinking.
Two ways to get eggs
You can get eggs in two ways:
- With a radar. You buy a radar from the Gear Shop, and it points you to a rare egg somewhere on the map.
- Off the ground. Eggs also spawn on the dirt around the ranch, such as the White Egg. You just ride over and grab them.
Ride your pet to move faster
Riding is faster than walking, so get on your pet before you go egg hunting.
- Stand next to your placed pet on your ranch plot.
- Click the yellow Ride Pet button (or press E near the pet).
- When you're done, click the red Dismount button.
The game's description says you should hatch rarer and faster pets to find rarer eggs. A quicker pet gets you to eggs sooner, so every good hatch makes the next hunt easier.
Buy a radar from the Gear Shop
The Gear Shop is the blue-and-white striped stall. Two radars are sold there:
- Advanced Radar: $50, Rare. This is the cheap starter radar, and the tutorial sends you to buy it.
- Jewel Radar: $3,000, Epic. This one is pricier, and it's something to save up for later.
To buy the Advanced Radar:
- Ride to the Gear Shop. The tutorial banner at the top says 'Go To Gear Shop'.
- In the Buy Advanced Radar panel, click the green $50 button.
You start with exactly $50, so this spends all your cash. Place a pet on your ranch straight away so you start earning again.
There is also a game pass called Infinite Radar for 399 Robux. You don't need it to find eggs.
How to use the radar
- Press 1 to equip the radar from hotbar slot 1.
- Click Use Radar.
- A marker appears that says Find Rare Egg Xm Away. The number tells you how far away the egg is.
- Follow the marker to the egg.
- Pick up the egg when you reach it.

Picking up eggs on the dirt
Eggs spawn on the dirt around the ranch. You can collect them while riding.
- Click Ride Pet to get on.
- Drive to an egg on the dirt, such as a White Egg.
- Press E or click Hatch on the egg's prompt.
- Move on to the next egg.
- Click Dismount when you're finished.

Restocks and the Blackhole Egg
Eggs and shops restock about every 5 minutes. If the dirt looks empty, wait a few minutes and check again.
Keep an eye out for the announcement 'Blackhole Egg Has Spawned'. It tells you that a special egg is now in the world, so it's worth going to look for it.
Planting your egg and Skip Growth
Once you're holding an egg, plant it on your own ranch.
- Go back to your own plot. Make sure you're inside your fence, because the ranches next door belong to other players.
- Click the ground to plant the egg.
- Wait for it to grow. If you'd rather not wait, click Skip Growth.
- When it hatches, pick up the new pet.

Your new pet appears in the hotbar along with its KG (weight). KG matters a lot, because heavier pets earn far more cash.

Place the hatched pet on your ranch
A pet only earns cash once it's placed on your ranch.
- Click Dismount if you're riding. You can't place a pet while riding.
- Select the new pet in the hotbar.
- Click an empty dirt spot inside your fence.
- Open the pet panel and click Place Best.

Your ranch holds only 5 pets. When it shows 5/5, clicking the ground just gives a 'Max 5/5 On Ranch' message. Place Best sorts this out for you, because it keeps your highest $/s pets placed. Click it after every hatch.

Egg clover values and Hatch Luck
Eggs show a clover number. For example, the White Egg shows 14 clover, and eggs can show a hatch cost of 50 clovers.
The green Hatch Luck board next to your ranch also has a clover on it. Buying Hatch Luck improves the eggs you get. It's cheap at the start ($5, then $15), so it's worth buying early.
