Steal An Egg Game Passes: Prices & Are They Worth It?

Checked in-game 3 Oct 2026 Updated 4 Oct 2026

Steal An Egg has three game passes. Each one boosts a different part of the game: your Speed, your cash or how fast your eggs grow. This guide lists what each pass costs and what it does, and it helps you work out which one fits the way you play. You don't need a pass to play, because the main loop of hatching pets, earning cash and buying upgrades works without one. If you're thinking about spending Robux, though, it helps to know what you get.

All 3 game passes at a glance

Here are the three passes and their prices:

  • DOUBLE Your SPEED: 299 Robux. It doubles your speed boost. In the pass window, it showed the boost going from x128 to x256.
  • X2 MONEY!: 399 Robux. The official description says "Earn x2 more money!"
  • X2 GROWTH SPEED!: 467 Robux. The official description says "Eggs grow x2 faster!"

On Roblox, a game pass is a one-time purchase that stays on your account. The game's other Robux items work differently. Money packs and egg packs are used up. For their prices, see Steal An Egg Shop: Every Money Pack & Egg Pack Price.

How the game loop works (and why it matters)

To judge a pass, think about how you make progress:

  1. You get eggs and place them in your pen to grow.
  2. When the eggs have grown, they hatch into pets.
  3. Your pets earn cash every second. You see this cash as floating popups like +$1.6M.
  4. You spend that cash on upgrades such as a bigger pen, more equip slots and a better treadmill.
  5. Better upgrades let you hold more pets and earn even more.

Cash and egg growth time are the two things that speed up this loop. That is why X2 MONEY! and X2 GROWTH SPEED! affect your main progress the most.

DOUBLE Your SPEED (299 Robux)

This is the cheapest pass. It doubled the speed boost from x128 to x256.

You gain Speed by training on the treadmill, so this pass mainly helps that side of the game. Its description only mentions speed, not cash or egg growth.

Verdict: It's good value if raising your Speed is what you enjoy most. It does the least for the cash and egg loop, though.

X2 MONEY! (399 Robux)

This pass doubles the money you earn. Your pets will pay you twice as much.

Cash pays for almost everything you need. For example, the next pen level and an extra equip slot each cost $500B, and the treadmill upgrade costs $2T Cash. With double money, you reach these upgrades in about half the time.

Verdict: It gives the most value for the main loop. Every pet you own earns more, and that helps with every upgrade.

X2 GROWTH SPEED! (467 Robux)

This is the most expensive pass. It makes eggs grow twice as fast.

Faster eggs mean you hatch pets sooner and find new and rarer ones more quickly. You can see your eggs in the Growing Eggs list, which also has a Grow All button.

Verdict: It's very useful if you hatch lots of eggs and want to fill your Pet Index. It does not raise your income on its own, though. You only earn more once the new pets are equipped.

Which pass to buy first

If you choose to buy a pass, here is a simple order based on the egg and cash loop:

  1. X2 MONEY! comes first. Cash drives every upgrade, and this pass boosts all the pets you already have.
  2. X2 GROWTH SPEED! comes second. It lets you hatch more pets in the same time, and doubled cash then makes those pets even better.
  3. DOUBLE Your SPEED comes last, unless training on the treadmill is your favourite part.

A pen that's too small can waste a growth pass. When your pen is full, you see "Your pen is Full!" and you can't place new eggs. Faster growth won't help much if you have nowhere to put them.

Passes vs the Robux treadmill upgrade (499 Robux)

The treadmill upgrade can be bought for 499 Robux or $2T Cash. That makes it different from the passes:

  • You can only get the passes with Robux.
  • You can unlock the treadmill upgrade for free with cash from your pets.

So spending Robux on the treadmill only saves you time. You would get there anyway by saving $2T. A pass like X2 MONEY! is a lasting boost you can only buy with Robux, and it also helps you save that $2T faster.
