In Chop A Forest, you don't only earn coins when you sell. Every swing of your axe pays, every tree you fell pays, and the Timber Chomp chipper throws out extra coins after each sale. To get money fast, you need to waste less time. Keep swinging, make fewer trips to sell, and never leave free coins on the ground. Here's how to do each part, plus the best order to spend your coins.
Keep swinging: every hit pays
Each axe hit on a tree pays a few coins straight away. Oak and Birch trees fall in about 4-8 hits. So the time you spend swinging matters most.

- Press 2 to equip the axe. Slot 1 is your fist, and it's much slower.
- Walk up close until the tree's name and HP bar show. Your clicks only count when the bar shows.
- Click the trunk fast. Once you own Hold, you can just hold the mouse button down.
- When TIMBER! appears, stop. Grab the logs, then go straight to the next tree.

Never press 3. That's the Trial Saw (5 min), and it opens a Robux prompt.
Truck loop maths: fewer trips, bigger sales
Walking back to the SELL LOGS pad with every backpack is slow. A 15-log Quick Sell at the pad paid $210. A full Rusty Runabout holds 50 logs, and its LOGS counter reads about $1,000-1,070 when it's nearly full (47/50 showed $1010, and 50/50 showed $1070). That's one drive instead of three or four long walks.
With a 15-log backpack, three full backpacks fill the truck to 45/50, and a few more logs top it off.
- Press E at the truck's Drive prompt and park right next to the trees you're chopping.
- Chop trees and pick up logs until your backpack is full.
- Aim at the truck bed and click CLICK LOAD TRUCK x/50. The whole backpack goes in at once.
- Repeat until the LOGS counter is nearly full.
- Drive onto the DROP LOGS pad by the Timber Chomp.
- Click CLICK SELL ... FROM TRUCK and wait for the 'Sold N logs from your truck!' message.

When you load, click the truck bed. Pressing E near the truck puts you in the driver's seat instead. When you upgrade to the Farmhand Pickup (2,800 coins), it carries 75 logs, so each trip pays even more.
Collect the Timber Chomp coins
After every sale, the orange Timber Chomp chipper throws coins out onto the ground. Don't drive off and leave them there!
- After the sale message, step out by the chipper.
- Walk around the side of the Timber Chomp, not the front where the logs go in.
- Walk over every coin to pick it up.
- Press 2 to get your axe out again and head back to the trees.
Crows, golden trees and mutations
Look for crows sitting on stumps. Hit one and it drops a coin. It only takes a second, so hit any crow near your path. Then go back to the trees.
Some hits flash GOLDEN! with a yellow burst. Golden hits pay extra coins, so finish golden trees first.

CANDY! is another mutation. You'll see a pink burst and candy drops. New mutations tell you to check your Index, which is in the stats panel. If you want more of them, the Mutation Luck gem perk gives +5% mutation chance for 40 gems.
Buy Sell Value first
Gems are the second currency. Spend your first 25 gems on Sell Value in the Gem Perks tab of the SHOP. It gives +10% cash per log, which makes every sale pay more from then on.
Getting 25 gems is quick. The DAILY REWARD pad gives 25 gems on day 1, and every sale gives +2 gems. The blue gem drops near stumps are worth picking up too. For every gem source and the other perks, see Chop A Forest Gems: How to Get Them and Best Gem Perks.
The right upgrade order
Spend your coins in this order:
- Hold ($20, or free) in UPGRADES, under Hands
- Axe (150 coins) in the TOOL SHOP. Click the coin button, not the rainbow one.
- Backpack ($175), which takes you from 5 to 15 logs
- Rusty Runabout (500 coins), a truck that carries 50 logs
- Farmhand Pickup (2,800 coins), which carries 75
- Backpack ($750)
- Timber Flatbed (6,500 coins), which carries 100
Remember to click SPAWN after you buy a truck, or it won't appear.
Keep an eye on the backpack counter in the bottom left. When it's full (5/5 at first, then 15/15), you can't pick up any more logs. Any logs you chop after that just sit on the ground. Sell or load the truck before you keep chopping. For more about trucks and bags, see Chop A Forest Trucks: All 10 Garage Tiers, Prices and Stats and How to Upgrade Your Backpack in Chop A Forest.
The Double Coins pass (optional)
You can get money fast without spending anything. If you do choose to pay, the Double Coins pass costs 199 Robux, and every log sells for double. It's on a sign next to the Tool Shop. For every pass, see Chop A Forest Game Passes: Prices and Which Are Worth It.
